DailyOK gives an older parent a simple way to respond each day and lets trusted family members see the latest check-in and reminder status. It works for families sharing a home and families living apart.

Understand what each update means

  • Checked in: the person sent a response. This is a self-reported update, not medical confirmation of wellbeing.
  • Reminder acknowledged: the person responded to a reminder. It does not verify that medicine was taken or a task was completed.
  • Missed: no response was recorded within the relevant time window. Further reminders and family alerts follow configured rules.
  • Need help or Urgent help: a request is sent to selected family contacts. DailyOK does not call emergency services or dispatch a responder.

Set up a routine your family can keep

  1. Install DailyOK on the parent's Android phone and complete setup with at least one reachable family contact. A family member can help set up the parent.
  2. Agree on a check-in time and add only the reminders the parent wants. Each person can choose their app language.
  3. Have the family supporter install DailyOK and confirm the correct parent is linked in Family Hub.
  4. Try a check-in and reminder together. Agree who will call or visit if an update is missed.

Questions about daily wellbeing check-ins

Can DailyOK validate that my parent is safe?

No. It shows recorded responses and missed updates to help you decide when to follow up. It does not detect falls, diagnose illness, or continuously monitor health or location.

Does a missed check-in mean something is wrong?

Not necessarily. A person may be busy, their phone may be offline, or they may have forgotten. Check the latest status and contact them; the family decides the next step.

Are family alerts guaranteed?

No. Timing and delivery depend on the configured waiting period, notification permissions, connectivity, and available channels. Keep your usual calls and agreed backup contact plan.
